search - to use a computer to look for information, especially on the Internet
search engine -  a computer program used for searching for information on the Internet
search term - a search term is what users key into a search engine when they want to find something specific.
browse - to look for information on a computer, especially on the Internet
browser - a computer program that allows you to look at and search through information on the Internet
back up - to make a copy of information on your computer
a backup copy
a keyboard - a piece of computer equipment with keys on it, used for putting information into a computer
a screen - the flat surface on a computer, television, or piece of electronic equipment where words and pictures are shown
USB flash drive - a small plastic disk drive that stores information and that you can carry around with you. You connect the flash drive to a computer when you want to use the information.
a folder - a group of programs or documents stored in a computer, shown by a picture of a folder on the screen
enter a password - write a password
a link - a connection between one file or section and another, for example on a website
to attach - to send a computer file with an email
an attachment - a computer file that you send with an email
click (on) - to make a computer do something by pressing a button on the mouse
scroll up/down - to move information up or down a computer screen in order to read it
software - programs used by computers
updatesthe latest news or information
go online - start using the Internet
usernamethe name used by someone for operating a computer program
log in (on) - to start using a computer system
log out - to finish using a computer system
download: to take information off the Internet and store it on your computer for viewing later (opposite of “upload”)
Ex: You can download music and listen to it on your MP3 player.

copy and pasteto copy information in a computer document and put it somewhere else in the document
key (in)to put information into a computer or other electronic machine using keys or a keyboard
The data will need to be keyed immediately.
save - to make a computer keep information that you have put into it
copy - to make a copy of a piece of computer data, such as a piece of writing or a program
print - to produce words, numbers, pictures etc on paper, using a printer or printing press
delete - to remove information stored in a computer
subscribe to add your name and e-mail address to a list of people who want to receive messages from a website automatically
desktop - the background of a computer screen that shows icons of the programs that are available
subscription - an agreement to pay an amount of money so that you will receive something such as a magazine or a service.
URL - an Internet address  
tap to touch the screen of a mobile device in order to make something happen
swipe - to move your finger across the screen of a smartphone or tablet
bookmark: to save a website or web page so that you can share it or find it easily another time
This site is definitely worth bookmarking.
freeze: to suddenly stop working (technology)
The screen froze, so I had to turn my computer off.
break up - if the sound on a radio or mobile phone breaks up, you can no longer hear the person who is speaking on it
I can’t hear you, you’re breaking up.
